COMPANY HISTORY:
Door Solutions has been doing business in Fairfield Country since 1984 and was originally formed
under the name Advanced Overhead Door Services, of Stratford, CT. Raymond Zegarski started the
company, with the philosophy of providing quality workmanship and courtesy to all customers. He
learned the trade by working for two locally well established companies in the area. Advanced Overhead
Door Services was originally servicing eastern Fairfield County with a strong presence in the Bridgeport,
Fairfield, Monroe, and Trumbull areas.
As the company continued to grow it was necessary to take on a new employee who shared the same
work ethics as Raymond. While still in high school Raymond Zegarski II began learning the trade from
his father and became a valuable asset to Advanced Overhead Door Services. After gaining a few
years of experience, and taking college classes in business, Raymond II started Guilford Door Company,
which covered the shoreline area including Branford, Guilford, Madison and Clinton.
With both areas being covered by the men, business was growing rapidly for everyone and they
discovered a need for a greater partnership beyond assisting each other in large jobs. In 2003 the
companies realized that they could service their customers better and more efficiently by becoming
unified and formed Door Solutions L.L.C. while still keeping the same values Raymond set in 1984. Many
of their customers have remained loyal to the company since the beginning and have paid them the
highest complement by referring their friends and family members.
With additional trained technicians and service trucks Door Solutions is now able to offer such services
as "same day repair service" and a flexible time table to better accommodate their customers' schedules.
Door Solutions also offers free estimates on new garage door installations and consultations to all their
customers. The company has stayed an independent dealer rather then a specific franchise because it
enables them to offer their customers a much wider variety of quality doors and openers, as opposed to
limiting them to specific brands.
Door Solutions, LLC has a combined 45 plus years of total experience, with the main office and showroom
located in Milford, CT. The company offers appointments five days a week, and has someone in the
office to answer your questions between 8am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday; the staff at Door
